As it turns out, I, not feeling so hot, called in sick to work. I don't know what the cause is. A bug, the food, physical manifestations of my unwell state of mind. Maybe all three. Maybe none of them.

I was out, so I went to the library. This isn't working too well, I keep seeing computers and want to do stuff, like this, updating my blog from a computer meant to act like a card catalog.

I'm incapable of concentration. I don't want to do my work. I might go for a walk or something... come back, take a nap, get up and work more later. God knows. I just can't keep up the monotony anymore. Maybe I'll get to Crouse.

I hafta piss again, I fucking hate soda.

Kind of belated post on my odd dreams...

So in the past few days I've had a couple really weird dreams.

The first one had Bruce on one of those old trains, standing and calling to some woman, who was running alongside. I think he was urging her to hurry, to jump up with him. When she tried, she fatally impaled herself on a fence and he just rode away on the train in silence past suburbs.

In the second one, someone I knew (can't remember who) had a bottle of absinthe and wasn't correctly preparing drinks with it so I took it from them and went away to drink it by myself, because they weren't worthy. I then proceeded to find a slotted spoon and pour myself a glass.

I'm obviously quite disturbed.

The New Bases of Sexual Conquest

At 2:30 this afternoon the Office of the Surgeon General issued a statement that due to the recent increase in sexual activity among high school and college students, they have been left with little choice but to update the archaic four bases of sexual conquest. At this time, this is what we know. First base has been removed because it is now seen as a given and will be referred to as "Walking to the Plate". Second base will now move to first base. The base formally known as second, will be shared by third base and home plate, since one almost definitely leads to the other. Also grinding and dry humping will make their debut at second base as well. Getting to third base will now mean that you have invited in a third partner. There is an unconfirmed report saying that an infield triple means you have invited in a third partner, but can only watch. Once again, that is an unconfirmed report. However we do know that to keep it interesting, they plan on keeping what happens when you get to home plate a tightly guarded secret. And the only ones who will know about it is your older brother, his friends, and that new slut in school.

So I went out at random to escape the mundane boredom of the dorm room. And it worked. I was mundane and bored elsewhere. I napped and read in a comfy chair in an undisclosed location until all hours of lateness. Not much reading got done, but I was happy there. Soo cozy. :D

I took this quote from AM. I assume, Bridget Jones' Diary? Anyways, how well it fits astounds me. Classes and everything like that started going okay, and in that respect I'm really happy but then this other part of my life is doing just that; falling spectacularly to pieces.

And what makes it all worse is that I never expected it. It's heartbreaking. Maybe I was naive.

Anyways. For anyone reading this to know how I am, today was really great. However, my Gothic prof doesn't do raindances and actually doesn't care for Dorian Gray, so I'm quickly losing interest in her. Henceforth, I do the work for my own betterment. :) (I'd rather do it to impress a passionate prof tho.)

Psych recitation was... odd, to put it mildly. I dislike Lyman hall. It's strange. That's all.

Writing was so good! We saw the end of Ma Vie En Rose, and just... omg. It was emotional. I guess some people actually cried. I suppose I should be impressed that I didn't. I so fierce. :D I think I should see if any of my classmates wanna go for coffee some time. I feel so social. It's scary.

Yes, you can be social at the same time you go around in a bone jacket, looking like death on legs. Creepiness can be interesting, a topic of conversation, even. ;) Look at Christian.

Sex TA group was... odd. We played this game to get to know eachother, we went around and said our name, and had to have a sexy word that started with the same letter. So the prof was Jugs Jill. Then there was Masturbating Margaret. Aroused Amanda. Ambidextrous Audrey. Do-it Dave. XD Love that. Anywho. It just got weirder. I'm Carnal Colleen. Don't even ask, C is a hard letter.

I should have something coming in the mail tomorrow, tho I dunno, cause some places don't give tracking numbers. GRR!

At eight this morning I fell in love with a genre all over again...

... I remembered back to when I first beheld the beauty and wonder that is gothic literature. It was amazing, it was astounding, it makes me want to hole up in the Panasci lounge and read The Castle of Otranto this weekend. Tho I should read Gothic first. I have made the executive decision to buy a desktop calendar. I think that's the solution to organisation.

Anyways! Gothic class is amazing. She nixed the Dorian Gray but I forgive her. The class looks absolutely phenominal. We're going to be focusing on recognising the conventions of the gothic novel and how those conventions have been utilized and changed throughout the course of history, and what they meant in their social and historical contexts.

Then Psych. The prof is scottish or something, he's insane, it's so fun! I may be singing another tune later, but for now, I'm happy.

And finally, the icing on the cake, my writing class that focuses on gender and sexuality issues. The professor is a lesbian. The class looks a little queer too. The mood and atmosphere of the class is just awesome! We instantly got talking, and everyone seems very familiar, which is great. We're watching the best movie, Ma Vie En Rose. It's about this 7 year old boy who is still dressing in girls clothes -- he wants to be a girl and his parents aren't understanding. Quote of the day! "I'm going to marry Jerome when I'm not a boy."

Then I visited Bruce. <3 Bruce. I'll have to catch him at a better time though, he had a class at 12:30.

The next orders of business are: location and consumption of food, textbook/supply returning/buying, reading/studying. :)

Well, I have some books. Not all of my books. My ETS 241 books weren't there, and there was a sign by the WRT books that said not to buy anything before you go to class. And Marian has my psych books, she's loaning them to me. :) Yay!

I need to take another class. I'm considering crashing a science class, that would be easiest and I am missing a science. Do I want astronomy? Perhaps I shall attend many science classes this week, and choose one.
